The relation is of 1:N type and since its unary ,hence only one entity is present.

So the usual rules follow and only 1 table is required to represent the single entity. No table is required for the relation as its 1:N.

So ans is 1.

We merge the relationship set  table with the many sided entity set and make the primary key of one sided entity set as the foreign key of this table. If we consider the opposite case then we have multiple values for entity of the one sided entity set which will lead to create a separate table and waste memory space.
