In this Introduction chapter, we will go through the preliminary topics of Programming Language, and will set a base to learn advanced topics like Functions, Pointers etc in the upcoming chapters.

These are the overview of topics we will cover in this chapter: basics of programming language i.e. understanding different definitions and terms associated with this subject; how to write your first program and understanding it; different components of a program such as constants, keywords, and variables; condition checking using if-else and switch-case; understanding post and pre increment operators for ease of use; different kinds of loops such as for, while, and do-while; break and continue statement; and lastly printf and scanf library functions.

Wish you will build a solid foundation of programming language after finishing this chapter, and be well prepared to dive into more advanced topics in subsequent chapters.
