Consider a real time scenario. An E-Commerce website. Suppose you have Entered SONY and PENDRIVE as the keyword in querybox. The company SONY has many products as well as many companies are manufacturing pendrives. So when we are requesting a query in application level, it goes to logical level and after fetching the information(consider COMPANY and Product are two entities with more than one relationships) it returns us the result. Suppose there is a maintainance is going on and we are on the view or application level, we are not facing any problems. When we are placing a order that is stored in their database(which is also a change in logical level) but it is not affecting us(user). Hope my answer has justified the question. If I am wrong please clarify me.

I am getting option B as well as option C. Because in both the cases  we are getting different derivative values.

In case of transitive dependancy there is  key->nonkey->nonkey chain dependancy exist. I agree the above example is valid provided A is the key of the relation and B and C are non key or non prime attribute. If A, B and C all are key attributes then we can not say there is any transitive dependancy exist.

I do not think it is a valid question. Generalization is a process where multiple lower level entities are synthesized in to a higher level entity set based on their commonalities. If  any entity of a higher level entity set is not participating in the IS-A relationship to relate more than one lowe level entity set  then we can say generalization is disjoint. In case of specialization it is the process of subgrouping of a higher level entity set in to multiple lower level entity set based on their distinct feature. The relationship is IS-A relationship andwe do not treat them as higher level entity set.

We merge the relationship set  table with the many sided entity set and make the primary key of one sided entity set as the foreign key of this table. If we consider the opposite case then we have multiple values for entity of the one sided entity set which will lead to create a separate table and waste memory space.

Normal form is used to avoid redundancies and various anomalies.Functional dependencies are actually  representation of association among attributes. I think the question in incomplete. Without any functional dependencies we can not know the relationship among attributes.
