Most often freshers mention the difficulty they face when they join the industry after completing the graduation. For some of them, it becomes the real challenge to adapt to the new environment where your capability is not judged just by looking at a single piece of paper, but by many factors like your problem-solving skills, team management, on-time delivery, quick learning skills and many other significant factors.

I believe, Internship is one of the ways where you get an opportunity to have a close understanding of how differently companies operate and what is the most suitable career path for you.

Do not miss an internship this summer!!

Answer: (B)

Explanation: Let X be the node to be deleted in a tree with root as ‘root’. There are three cases for deletion

1) X is a leaf node: We change left or right pointer of parent to NULL (depending upon whether X is left or right child of its parent) and we delete X
2) One child of X is empty: We copy values of non-empty child to X and delete the non-empty child
3) Both children of X are non-empty: In this case, we find inorder successor of X. Let the inorder successor be Y. We copy the contents of Y to X, and delete Y.

Sp we need inorder successor only when both left and right child of X are not empty. In this case, the inorder successor Y can never be an ancestor of X. In this case, the inorder successor is the leftmost node in right subtree of X. Since it is leftmost node, the left child of Y must be empty.

Number of blocks = Cache-Size/Block-Size = 256 KB / 32 Bytes = 213

Number of Sets = 213 / 4 = 211

Tag + Set offset + Byte offset = 32
Tag + 11 + 5 = 32
Tag = 16

This is a GATE previous year question asked in 2005 for Civil Engineering Branch.

I have already shared  the same example HERE

Taking risk has it's own constraints and it should be one's sole decision to go for some risky options. If you are well determined and know that you can do this, you should go for quitting a existing job. IIT gives you a huge opportunity to explore big in your life. After coming here all tech giants like Google, Michrosoft, facebook etc become reachable (of course with reasonable effort). So, if your economical background supports, you can go for it.

GATE has really huge syllabus and it is really hard to get a good prepration with job. But every year so many people join M Tech who were doing job in some company. The question becomes simple now. The syllabus is nothing which you are completely unaware of. You know at least 50% of the things from your graduation. So I believe that the preparation can be managed with job but only with the consistent effort. You may have other option like taking 2 months leave before exam so that you can give a real hard push.
